“You are the butter to my bread”
I turned 30 in January and from that moment I attempted to become a goddess around the house. I stocked the cupboard with Zoflora (I’m pretty sure I could write a whole other blog post just on Zoflora), bought a Vax handheld cordless hoover (to hoover my stairs easier – obvs!) and invested in, what has got to have been, one of the best things I have ever purchased. The Morphy Richards Fastbake Breadmaker!
We purchased ours from John Lewis and at £60, I thought it was a complete bargain. So far I have made a basic white loaf, Italian Herb bread, Cheese and onion loaf and a Sundried Tomato loaf, which I have to say is my favourite so far. Especially served warm with cheese!! Mmm, just thinking about it makes my mouth water! When invited for dinner at a friends/family members house it’s always nice to take a gift – wine perhaps – I now take a freshly made loaf of bread! Lush!
Using the breadmaker couldn’t be easier. It’s a sophisticated appliance with a computer memory that does all the work for you. All you need to do is put in the ingredients, select a programme, then sit back and wait for your delicious, freshly-baked loaf. You can choose from 12 programmes from Basic Whites to Cakes, Jam and Dough, with the choice of 3 loaf sizes (1lb, 1.5lb and 2lb loaves). There are also 3 crust settings and the clear viewing window allows you to monitor the baking process. The one feature I absolutely love is the 13 hour delay. We can now wake up to the smell of freshly-baked bread!
