Mornings can be a hard time of the day for many people. The alarm goes off and you somehow have to get your sleepy body out of the bed and somewhat presentable for the day ahead. I have a few tips to help you start the morning right.
Meditate : This is a new step I have introduced in to my morning routine. It’s always good to start your day with a clear and calm mind. I like the meditation video by Yoga with Adriene on YouTube, it’s on 10mins long and is a great morning starter.
Hydrate : I know this is probably an obvious one, but most mornings I have to force myself to hydrate. A full glass of water is best or maybe you’re more of a green tea drinker. Cleanse and moisturise : We all get it drummed in to us to remove make up before we go to bed. But it is also important to cleanse your face in the morning too. Breakfast : As they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I have, up until a few months ago, been pretty awful at ensuring I have breakfast before leaving the house, which is always never good. By 10am I am ready to snack on the pack of chocolate digestives in my desk draw. So, I have started making time for breakfast. My usual is a bowl of Porridge made with Almond Milk and topped with strawberries or on a more busy day I’d go for Rye Bread topped with avocado and a poached egg. Yum.
