Loving in April

So, my blog has never really been about beauty. I’ve never posted a favourites before, but as I said in my first post after my hiatus I’m trying something new. There are so many things I’ve been loving over the last month, so thought I’d shout about it.

Maybelline – SuperStay Better Skin (£8.99) : I find it really hard to find a good foundation. I really like the Nars Sheer Glow, but I get through it so quickly and it costs a fortune to keep buying. I knew I needed to find a good high street brand and this Maybelline one certainly does the trick. The staying power is good but more importantly it’s keeping my skin in tip top condition. I will be popping out to repurchase soon as I don’t think I can live with out this foundation.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (£22) : I love this stuff. I’m a big fan of balms to take my make up off and this is not exception. It leaves me with really clean skin, leaving no remnants of make up which I love and you certainly want from a Take the Day Off balm!

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (£34) : I have very dehydrated skin, mainly because I don’t drink enough water through out the day, so I need a gentle helping hand to keep my skin hydrated. I love the formula and it leaves my skin, not only hydrated, but silky soft – a perfect base for make up!

Primark Foundation Brush (£4.50) : Yes Primark!! I’ve never thought to buy any beauty products from Primark. Especially not make up brushes as I love my Zoeva Rose Gold brushes. But I have always wanted to try the Artis brushes, just minus the price tag, so when I saw that Primark do an affordable version I knew I had to get one. I love it!! It applies my foundation brilliantly, leaving me with an even finish.

Elizabeth Eight Hour Cream (£15) : Anyone and everyone raves about this stuff, so I knew I had to try it and see what all the hype was about. This stuff is heaven for your lips. It leaves my lips feeling soft, hydrated and I know I will be using this for years to come.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (No longer for sale) : Firstly, can we please just take a moment to admire the gorgeous packaging. I like a good product, but packaging is also key for me! This palette is pure perfection. This is the second palette I have had from Hourglass and they are by far the best, in my opinion. I use the Lighting Powder in Diffused Light and Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush in my everyday look and couldn’t be without it.
