Top 10 Tips for being an Actor

These fantastic top ten were thought up by 3 of my friends at drama school (Kate Elis, Ruth Worth and Kate Jales) and I think they are brilliant snippets of advice!

  1. Be adaptable.
  2. Trust your director.
  3. Find something within your play you can connect with.
  4. Take ownership of your character and research.
  5. Trust what you are doing is enough.
  6. When working as a company, don’t isolate yourself. Be connected as a whole.
  7. Be someone other people want to work with.
  8. Communicate with your director and the rest of the company.
  9. Have entitlement – without being a diva!
  10. Be brave and bold.
